Subscription Health

Monitor metered subscription status, track usage per subscription against the billing period, and surface subscriptions with missing or stalled usage.

Subscription Health shows the current status of your metered subscriptions and tracks usage against each subscription’s active billing period. It surfaces subscriptions where usage is missing, stalled, or inconsistent with prior periods.

Each row represents one active Stripe subscription that contains at least one metered subscription item:

Subscription ID and customer name.
Subscription status — active, past_due, trialing.
Metered item and the associated Stripe meter.
Usage reported for the current billing period.
Billing period start and end dates.
Days remaining in the billing period.
Last usage event timestamp.

MeterMonitor flags subscriptions with usage signals that may indicate a billing or integration issue:

SignalMeaning
No usage this periodThe subscription has a metered item but zero events have been reported in the current billing period
Usage stalledEvents were being reported but stopped mid-period — last event was more than 48 hours ago
Usage spikeReported usage is significantly higher than prior billing periods for this subscription
DelinquentSubscription is in past_due or unpaid status

Filter the subscription list by:

Health signal — show only subscriptions with a specific flag.
Meter — show only subscriptions tied to a specific billing meter.
Statusactive, trialing, past_due.
Usage range — filter by reported usage above or below a threshold.

Sort by usage, billing period end date, or last event timestamp to prioritize the subscriptions most at risk.

Clicking a subscription opens a detail panel showing:

Customer ID and Stripe subscription ID.
Metered items and their associated meters.
Daily usage chart for the current billing period.
Prior billing period usage for comparison.
Recent meter events attributed to this subscription.
