Features Retention Intelligence

Retention Intelligence

Monitor metered retention, usage contraction, churn, dormant accounts, and renewals at risk.

Retention Intelligence helps you find metered customers whose usage is contracting before renewal, churn, or dormancy becomes visible in billing reports.

The top summary cards show:

Customer Retention — retained customers from the previous 30-day baseline.
Active Metered — customers with usage in the last 30 days.
Renewals At Risk — upcoming renewals with scheduled cancellation or usage risk.
Recently Churned — canceled renewals in the last 30 days.
Recently Dormant — customer-meter rows with more than 50% usage contraction.

Retention uses separate context windows so the source of each signal is explicit:

Rolling 30-Day Benchmark compares the current 30 days with the prior 30 days.
Cohort History defines the history used by the cohort grid.
Resolved Snapshot shows the Stripe snapshot used for product and subscription context.

The Metered Cohort Retention Grid groups customers by their first meter-usage cohort. It supports:

Customer and Quantity metric views.
Month and Quarter resolution views.
Meter filtering through the same compact meter selector used across the app.
Heatmap cells that compare retained customers or retained usage over time.

Retention includes working tables for:

Product / Meter Mix — grouped usage by product and meter.
Renewals At Risk — upcoming renewal accounts, filterable by 30, 60, or 90 days.
Recently Churned — canceled metered subscriptions whose renewal date has passed.
Recently Dormant — customer-meter rows with sharp usage contraction.
