Mobile and Web App
How MeterMonitor stays aligned across the web app and iOS, and how subscription management differs by platform.
MeterMonitor on the web and on iPhone / iPad share one account for a user and the same product workspace. Setup flows—Sign-in, Stripe connection, and verification—are covered in Quickstart. This page explains what carries between platforms and where billing behavior differs.
Portability (web and mobile)
Section titled “Portability (web and mobile)”The following apply to the same MeterMonitor user account on both the web app and the iOS app:
- Sign-in — The web app and iOS app support email/password, Google, and Apple sign-in. Use the same sign-in method on both platforms to return to the same account and workspace.
- Stripe connection — One connection per account; Test vs Live mode and OAuth or restricted key behave the same once linked. Changes made in Settings → Stripe Account Connection on either surface apply to the other after sync (use Refresh Status if something looks stale).
- Workspace data — Account Explorer, Retention, Meter Health, and Alerts reflect the same Stripe-backed data for that account.
- Plan limits and usage — Active customer limits and feature access follow your subscription tier regardless of which app you use to view or administer the workspace.
Subscription management differences
Section titled “Subscription management differences”| Topic | Web app | Mobile app (iOS) |
|---|---|---|
| Where you choose plans | Settings → Subscription & Billing → Choose Plan, then a PCI compliant hosted checkout page in the browser | Same settings area; Apple presents in-app purchase for available plans, subject to App Store rules |
| Where you change plans | Settings → Subscription & Billing → Change Plan, then a PCI compliant hosted checkout page in the browser | Same settings area; Apple presents in-app purchase for available plans, subject to App Store rules |
| Who charges the card | Payment is handled through PCI compliant hosted checkout | Purchases go through Apple In‑App Purchases |
| Managing or changing billing details | Through your web app’s billing/subscription UI | Managed in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on the device |
| Receipts and renewal | Subscriptions emails, receipts and renewals are delivered by MonetizationApps | Apple provides subscription receipts and renewal according to App Store rules |
| Cancellation timing | Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period | App Store cancellations keep paid access active through the paid period and revert to Free after Apple reports the subscription as inactive |
Deleting your MeterMonitor account does not cancel an active App Store subscription. The iOS app links to Apple subscription management so you can cancel or manage Apple billing before deleting the app account.
